Schedule will update as times and scores become available. Data is retrieved when the widget is loaded and when you press the refresh button or select "Refresh" from the context menu, which is accessed by right-clicking on the widget (Windows) or CTRL-clicking (Mac). You may also, via the Preferences, choose an auto-refresh interval.
All of our sports widgets offer the following functionality:
Double-click the logo to minimize or expand the schedule. You may also click on the minus and plus images to minimize or expand the schedule. To minimize interface clutter, these buttons are hidden until you move your mouse over the widget.
Hovering over the logo will display the "Last Updated" time, which is the time that data was last retrieved, in a tool tip.
Customization of colors, fonts, and other settings that affect widget appearance
The dock will display the record for the selected team for the current season, even if you're viewing data for a past year. If the current date is in-between seasons, the widget might display the record for the most recently completed season. The current season record is retrieved from espn.com.
While previous styles of widgets utilized buttons to allow you to change the view, the current style has consolidated most navigation functionality under the title area dropdown. Clicking on the title area will display a dropdown menu that will allow you to change to another view. The title area dropdown will also display navigation options specific to that view, such as jumping to a specific date, changing to a specific team, or changing the data source.
The title navigation menu as seen in Standings View.
The top section of the navigation menu contains the different views supported by the widget.
The middle sections of the navigation menu contain functionality specific to the selected view.
If the selected view supports jumping to a specific date, then the final menu item will provide that functionality.
The previous and next buttons, whose location depends on the logo location, are usually displayed in the lower left corner of the widget. To minimize interface clutter, these buttons are hidden until the mouse rolls over the widget. These buttons cycle through the time frame (yearly, monthly, weekly, or daily) supported by the selected view.
