Welcome!

Click to purchase the Apple Nike + iPod Sport Kit from Amazon

So you've joined the running revolution. You've purchased the Nike+ iPod Sport Kit to use with your Nano. You've joined lots of challenges and have become mildly obsessed with tracking your running stats and competing against others. You've even made your Nike+ runner profile public in order to share your information with other people and have a better Nike+ experience.

Or maybe you're thinking about joining the Nikeplus community, but you'd like to explore the Nikeplus community before making a commitment. If you're on the fence about running, you should go watch Patrick's conversional.

And now you're wondering how to search the Nike+ runner profiles. Perhaps you want to find friends,or other runners in your area. Perhaps you want to view the run details of other runners who are participating in a challenge with you; if you know their running patterns, you can better gauge what you'll have to do to "pass" them. Or perhaps you're stalking a Radio 1 DJ. The Nike+ doesn't offer any search functionality, but luckily, this site does!

Search Tips and Examples

  • You must enter criteria in at least one of the following fields:
    • user name
    • city
    • state
    • country
    • challenge name
  • Only "public" user profiles can be searched. If a user has not made their profile public, they will not be shown in the search results. If you have more questions about public profiles, please refer to the FAQ.
  • The search is not case sensitive.
  • Partial matching is enabled for strings that are not enclosed in quotes. To search for an exact match, enclose the string in quotes.
  • To search for multiple values, separate them with a space. Currently, multiple values in a single search field are OR'd together. I plan to add AND functionality in the future.
  • Most, but not all, countries and states/provinces are a two letter abbreviation. However, there are some exceptions and some people might have "UNITED STATES" instead of "US" or "Japan" instead of "JP" as their country. Click here to view the abbreviations for countries used by Nike+.
  • For example, if you search for run in the "User Name" field, then all users whose name contains "run" will be returned. Examples of matches include:
    • Aching Runner
    • Hot Runner
    • I just run
    • meg runs
    • love2run
  • If you search for mile in the "Challenge Name" field, then all users partipicating in a challenge that contains the string "mile" will be returned. Examples of matching challenges include:
    • 50 mile duel
    • First person to 50 miles
    • The Happy Smiles challenge
    • Fifty Miles in April
  • If you search for 50 miles in the "Challenge Name" field, then all users partipicating in a challenge that contains the string "50" or the string "miles" will be returned. Examples of matching challenges include:
    • First to 20 miles
    • First person to 50 miles
    • Loser babysits! Most miles...
    • 500 mile challenge
    • 50 miles in month
    • Race to 75 miles
  • If you want to search for all users participating in the Fifty Miles in April, enter "Fifty Miles in April" (note the quotes) in the "Challenge Name" field.
If you search for Fifty Miles in April without quotes, you will be shown a list of users that are participating in challenges whose name includes fifty, miles, in, or april.
  • If you search for "10 km" "50 miles" (note the quotes) in the "Challenge Name" field, then all users partipicating in a challenge that contains the string "10 km" or the string "50 miles" will be returned. Examples of matching challenges include:
    • 50 miles
    • 50 Miles
    • 10 km
    • 10 KM
